consideration and understanding

The leadership characteristic that I think is most important is consideration and understanding. It is important for a leader to be sensitive to the needs of the people he or she is leading. The leader should have their best interests at heart and have good intentions.

It is necessary for the leader to have a good understanding of the goal that he or she is striving towards so that he is able to lead other people and make it possible. However the leader must also ensure that he isn’t compromising the needs of the people he is leading. It is important for the leader to always consider these needs.
A leader needs to know how to balance leading people in a certain direction while still considering the individual. If the leader isn’t sympathetic and doesn’t relate the people he is leading, he cannot be an effective leader.
