The Power of Charismatic Leadership
Think of a presentation for a class or a work meeting where you could tell the person leading the presentation knew what they were talking about, but no one was able to focus to the whole presentation. Why is this? If this person was a leader do you think they would get top results with their followers?
Now, think about a person you know who when they start talking about some thing they know a lot about everyone stops to listen. Why is this? If this person was a leader, leading on some thing he was passionate about do you think people would follow him? The difference is passion: This is The power Charismatic Leadership. All the best leaders ALWAYS have a passion for what/why they are leading. The best military leaders cared about the cause they were fighting for, and with that they were able to share that passion with their troops. The troops then preformed better feeding off of the energy of their leader. You can know all the information there is to know on what you are trying to be a leader, but if you can’t share it with passion you are not going to be an effective leader. What do you to lead with Charismatic Leadership? Self Confidence- is the ability to act with poise and assurance of your self. In leadership people can see if you look and act confident. Humans naturally flow toward confidence. How do you get this confidence in your self, or are you born with it? You can improve you confidence. - be informed in the area you want to be confident.
- practice public speaking and leadership out side of you regular leadership Toastmasters the more you can improve out side of were you are leading the better
- remind your self you know what you are talking about (because you should know about it step 1)
- repeat continually, never stop trying to grow
The passion- passion is a deep driving care. If you want to be successful long term you have to like what you are doing. If you want to be able to get others to follow you as well you have a great passion for, and be able to express that passion to those you want to follow you. How?First make sure what you are trying to lead is something you can be passionate about. If its not… you may want to consider changing what you are doing, or at least how you are doing it until you can find that passion in your self before trying to share it with others. Once you have the passion, and you gain confidence, just be honest and let people know your passion share it vividly and it will come, people will follow.
